South Branch is a bold and contemporary restaurant and event space in the heart of downtown Chicago, sitting right on the Chicago River.

Our restaurant offers a modern American menu that ranges from salads with all the trimmings, original burgers, dinner entrées and a chef's catch of the week.

South Branch’s unique space is perfect for private weekday and weekend events. Whether you are hosting a company dinner or cocktail reception, planning a wedding, organizing a charity event, or just celebrating with friends, South Branch offers a variety of spaces for many events in downtown Chicago.

South Branch is big enough to host the largest affairs, but versatile enough to accommodate many smaller gatherings at once. Closed to the public on the weekends, South Branch is exclusively available for private events for 150-350 guests on Saturdays and Sundays. More information on our private event spaces here.
