It’s time to get your ‘Prost!’ on, Chicago! The Chicago Firehouse Restaurant,1401 S Michigan Ave, is excited to announce a multi-day Oktoberfest Celebration from Friday, September 27 through Sunday, September 29 at the South Loop restaurant. An immersive experience transporting diners to Germany, The Chicago Firehouse Restaurant will treat diners to a special menu highlighting German culinary delights and festive folk music by the Die Musikmeisters Band on Friday September 27 from 6:30-9:30 pm. In addition to this special Oktoberfest menu, diners will also have access to The Chicago Firehouse Restaurant’s full menu.

The Chicago Firehouse Restaurant has curated a menu fit for the occasion with specials including:

Housemade Giant Bavarian Pretzel: a true crowd pleaser served with warm beer cheese and spicy brown mustard.
Sauerkraut and Sausage Platter, for two: a spread of german delicacies complete with weisswurst, bratwurst, knackwurst and smoked pork belly braised in sauerkraut with apples, riesling and potatoes, housemade beer mustard, pickled beets and rye bread.
Pork Loin Schnitzel: a German staple served with housemade spaetzle, dill and lemon.
Grilled Bratwurst: served with caramelized onions, sauerkraut, d?sseldorf mustard on a pretzel bun and german potato salad.
Apfelkuchen: for something sweet, a traditional german apple cake
German beverages will also be aplenty as the restaurant will feature the following on special to indulge in:

HB Hofbräu Original: a slightly malted beer from Munich
Schmitt Söhne Riesling: a peach and fine apple based lively, firm, and fruity wine.

“We’re so thrilled to be bringing the spirit of Oktoberfest to Chicago this September”, said Oscar Montesinos, Chef de Cuisine of The Chicago Firehouse Restaurant. “Our tasty takes on German classics from pretzels and schnitzel will offer our guests a fun way to celebrate, and we look forward to seeing everyone to help us celebrate.”
